Scott has been in the insurance and financial services business since 1989 and holds a life and health insurance license and FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 registrations. He is a graduate of Ohio State University with a Finance and Insurance & Risk Management degree. Scott is the Past President of the Eastern Iowa Chapter of Society of Financial Services Professionals, Past President of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) in Cedar Rapids, member of the Cedar Rapids Area Estate Planning Council, Knights of Columbus and Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT). Scott specializes in family financial planning, retirement planning and investment planning.
Scott and his wife Jill reside in Cedar Rapids and have two grown daughters. Scott enjoys playing guitar, golf, and watching Ohio State athletics. He also is a Junior Achievement classroom volunteer.
Qualifying membership in the MDRT is based on minimum sales production requirements and gross business generated within a year. Each MDRT status designation is granted for one year only. All members must apply every year to continue their affiliation with the Million Dollar Round Table.
